What Happens at Camp Stays at Camp

I am a church partner who is active with Young Life, a non-denominational outreach to teens. Here in Oregon there is this amazing camp called Wild Horse Canyon, where we go each summer.

So it's late and I am hanging out with some of our student leaders. It was toward the end of an awesome week and no one wants to go to bed, but the lights out call of the canyon goes out over the loud speaker, so we start saying our good-nights.

Two of our student leaders, "Nick" and "Kate" were dating each other, and they keep stalling for more time together. Finally, in my sleep deprived state I say to them:

"Nick, take Kate to bed with you..."
